About the Author

Dr. Mary Beth Ford wrote Wisdom from the Gardens: Life Lessons and created The Garden Wisdom Teleseminar based on her book.  Observing garden images and making connections with life experience began a remarkable journey.  In both her book and teleseminar the author reflects on this journey and the lessons of garden wisdom.  Her story is the search for a spirit-filled way of living that is both deeply personal and communal.

The logos for The Garden Wisdom Store are the acorn and the oak tree, along with the butterfly.  They symbolize our mission and our work.  The acorn contains everything necessary for the growth of a mighty oak tree.  This image reminds us that we have all we need to accomplish our purpose for living. 


From chaos theory we know that a tiny influence can transform an entire system.  A Chinese proverb states that the power of a butterfly’s wings can be felt around the world.  Butterfly power reminds us that our small acts can have powerful effects.
